Portatree Professional Ultimate Timing System
with Gold Box Interface

This is an NHRA Approved Timing System upgraded with inferred lights
Not affected by any white lights
Each light works on its own frequency; there is no cross lighting
HOW IT WORKS:
The tree controls the left and right lane
2 pre-stage and 2 stage lights at the top
When tires covers both pre-stage and stage lights lane is staged
When both lanes are staged there is a random delay of 1 to 3 seconds
Tree is started
SPORT LIGHT
1, 2, 3 yellows comes on then 4th green
1234 .4 tenths of a second; so its called a 4 tenth starting tree
PRO LIGHT
All three yellow lights come on same time then green you GO
QUESTION OF THE RED LIGHT DISQUALIFICATION
If you pre-stage and stage and then roll out of the lights after
tree has started YOU RED LIGHT
If you roll in too far and your pre-stage light comes back on that is
Deep Staging - YOU RED LIGHT
If you start before your green light comes on:
you hit the guard beam
roll forward out of the pre-stage light YOU RED LIGHT
BRACKET RACING USING DIAL TIMES
If you go faster than you dial time You Broke Out and you loose
If both lanes brake out the worst brake out looses
THE NEXT SET OF LIGHTS ARE 60 Feet AWAY
This tells how you fast you get off the line

Oregon DuneFest in Reedsport/Winchester Bay is the premier dune event in the nation. The
complexity of the dunes, the expansive area available to riders
and the welcoming community all contribute to the success of the
festival.
The
drag racing action will take place on the sand dunes managed by
Douglas County Parks and is promoted by the Oregon Off-Road Racing
Association (OORA). DuneFest offers sand excitement for all ages and skill
levels, with trophies awarded in many categories!
Everyone
is encouraged to participate in these fun events. OORA staff members
will be on hand to help kids at the races, especially first-timers
who may not understand the rules.
DuneFest 2008 Drag Racing is sponsored by
Oregon Off-Road Racing Association (OORA).

The
drag race is an acceleration contest between two vehicles. The 300
foot race is officially started by the computer-activated light tree
in the middle of the track. Infrared lights, accurate to one
millisecond, monitor the vehicles as they finish the race.
Dune
Fest offers four levels of racing in sand drags:
Pee-Wee
Children under the age of 16 with little to no past experience
Junior
Children under the age of 16 with some past racing experience
Sportsman
Adults over the age of 16 with little to no past experience.
Sportsman classes are divided into time brackets for all vehicles.
The races are for fun and trophies, but do not offer cash prizes.
All sportsman races carry a $25 entry fee.
Professional
Pro
racing drivers receive $500 for first place and $250 for second.
A $75 entry fee must be paid by each professional racer.
All
posted pro payouts are based upon 10 or more entries in
each class. If there are fewer than 10 entries in a class, the payout is 100
percent of the entry fees split 70/30.
